The new 2022 RAM 3500 series features 5 trim levels—Tradesman®, Big Horn® (Lone Star®), Laramie®, Limited Longhorn®, and Limited.

The Limited, Limited Longhorn, and Laramie offer a crew cab with an 8’ box, a crew cab with a 6’4” box, and a mega cab with a 6’4” box. Each of these trims come with standard rear-wheel drive and available four-wheel drive.

The Big Horn offers a regular cab with an 8’ box, a crew cab with an 8’ box, a crew cab with a 6’4” box, and a mega cab with a 6’4” box. This trim comes with four-wheel drive standard and the option of rear-wheel drive.

The Tradesman offers a regular cab with an 8’ box, a crew cab with an 8’ box, and a crew cab with a 6’4” box. Rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive available on this trim.

Best-in-Class Engine Choices

All 2022 RAM 3500 trim levels give drivers their choice of 3 powertrains. Each comes with a standard 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine with Best-in-Class standard 410 horsepower. RAM pairs this with an 8-speed automatic transmission that offers a high-level of refinement generally not seen in heavy duty trucks.

Drivers can also choose between 2 diesel versions—a 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel 16 engine with excellent responsiveness, 370 horsepower, and 850 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.7L High-Output Cummins® Turbo Diesel 16 engine that offers Best-in-Class diesel torque, Best-in-Class diesel towing, a 6,570 payload, 420 hp, and 1,075 lb torque.

Both diesel engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

First-class technology features prominently in the 3500’s luxurious cabs, which feature an available 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display that gives drivers access to new available features including Off-Road Pages and Trailer Light Check—both with full-color 3-D graphics.

You can also opt for the available Digital Rearview Mirror that lets you switch on an LCD monitor that uses a rear-facing camera mounted on the back of your pickup to provide a real-time video stream for the best view possible.
